Client: North Sydney Council
Project Work: Plaza Lighting & Electrical Upgrade
Builder: Regal Innovations
Site Location: North Sydney Plaza
Formally known as North Sydney Plaza, the upgrade of Brett Whiteley Place is part of North Sydney Council’s efforts to improve and revitalise the City Centre. The redevelopment of the plaza will make it a focal point of North Sydney’s CBD that embraces all the qualities of an outstanding urban design for public spaces and create an iconic destination for workers, residents and visitors.
The expansion of the plaza will provide an attractive lunchtime destination, host a range of events and be a centrepiece for public art within North Sydney. The revamped town centre includes more public seating, licensed outdoor dining, landscaping, improved lighting, new public art and bike parking. Lighting has been installed in Brett Whiteley Place including handrails, wall, catenary, in-ground up lights, in-ground structure lighting, pole lighting, seat lighting and fountain lighting. Public space power has been installed throughout in stainless steel enclosures integrated into concrete pillars for future events.
Works carried out by Alland Group included a DMX Lighting Control System, power and lighting reticulation, new Switchboard installation. A significant part of the design process centered around ensuring that the whole installation was as energy efficient as possible.
Alland Group is proud to be associated with Regal Innovations and part of setting a new benchmark for outdoor space in Sydney’s north.
