Alland Group completed a design and construct package of new high end electrical works that included light & power, Cat 6 Communications, intelligent lighting control, LED Lighting, new Main Switchboard and Distribution Boards, all the while allowing the existing stores to continue retail operations. The importance of continued market penetration for these franchises was vital, and a key consideration for the project. Alland Group’s team were based onsite full time for over 18 months unobtrusively working to deliver a state of the art, energy efficient retail space. Power, Lighting & Submain Reticulation
New electrical wiring was installed throughout the centre’s stores including power sub-circuit cabling and outlets, lighting sub-circuit cabling and outlets and submain cabling from 16mm2 to 300mm2. Main Switch Board & Distribution Boards A customised 2000amp Main Switchboard was designed and installed to accommodate new and existing retail stores, in compliance with local authority requirements. New distribution boards were installed within each tenancy including specific lighting controls (C-Bus) and private and authority metering.

Cat6a structured cabling system was installed to support the audio-visual requirements, wireless internet, network system and CCTV system.
A significant part of the design process centred on ensuring the whole installation was as energy efficient as possible. Alland Group utilised many years of expertise gained by working on commercial projects across NSW, to deliver a project that reduces the running costs and carbon footprint of the building by the introduction of technologies such as LED Lighting and smart lighting control. This included IPART government rebate approval requirements.
Smart energy metering was installed in all Distribution Boards and the Main Switchboard to provide detailed energy reporting in line with BCA and green star requirements.
All Emergency & Exit lighting were upgraded to Clevertronics single point system, which includes local testing facilities at all Distribution Boards in accordance with Australian Standards AS:2293.1.
