Client: IBM
Project Work: Electrical and data upgrade across 7 floors
Builder: Shape
Site Location : George Street, Sydney
Technology giant IBM has secured a prime location in Sydney’s CBD as their main hub. As is fitting for one of the world’s most recognised tech companies, their head office at 259 George Street in Sydney’s CBD now provides a perfect example of just how far computers and communications have evolved since the company’s initial presence in Australia in the late1930s.
Alland Group were engaged by Shape to complete a comprehensive fit out of the IBM office space, and transform it into a beautiful, state of the art workplace for over 500 employees. Whilst the abbreviated construction program called for a swift completion, Alland group were pleased to complete these significant works across all seven floors on schedule. The works encompassed significant high end LED lighting, in addition to new power supply and CommScope Cat6A Data solutions across all floors. Each level required considerable recabling and the retro fitting of existing tenant DB’s as well as the installation of new power Energy Meters, Schneider RCDs and CBs throughout. The finished result also incorporated seven floors of Dynalite lighting control with AV interface and Phase Fail Emergency Lighting test switches.
Thanks go to Shape for partnering with us on this exciting project. The end result speaks for itself.
